The term dimming means reduction of light transfer. This was useless to me as I had cut them to size before I found it was 100% light blocking. I intended to darken a clock lcd screen that was very bright at night. I installed these sheets and couldn't see anything at all. It was then I realized these were 100% light blocking. Be sure what your intended use is before you buy these.
