About VTEC System
VTEC (which stands for Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control) is an electronic and mechanical system in some Honda engines that allows the engine to effectively have multiple camshafts. As the engine moves into different rpm ranges, the engine's computer can activate alternate lobes on the camshaft and change the cam's timing. In this way, the engine gets the best features of low-speed and high-speed camshafts in the same engine.

P2646 and P0344 fault codes are gone in my Honda Odyssey 2007. Few years ago I had same problem then I replaced it. Now again after changing it my vehicle is fine again.

Truth be told I bought 1 of these back in march I believe, it never worked from day 1 out of the box! So I didn't want to cough up the near $500 for 1 with a warranty from auto zone! So I come up with the clever idea of saving the practically new 1 from here, purchasing 1 from auto zone, and returning my faulty new looking 1 with hopes of getting a working part and my money back! Well it worked! Suck part is 2 months later the 1 from autozone went out as well! And low and behold I don't have warranty since I bamboozled them out of it in the first place lol. Needless to say I found myself back in amazon making my 2nd purchase of 1 of these and it works flawlessly. So there's and honest review hope you enjoyed!

The part came properly protected and installation by my mechanic went well. Part appears to be identical to original for 05 Odyssey EX-L and its showed no leaks after driving over 1200 miles immediately after installation without any problems. VSA light went out and cruise control was restored. Works flawlessly at the present time. Extremely good value and quality product for the price with prompt shipping.

Needed to replace on 2005 Odyssey. Perfect fit. Comes with gasket/screen. Plenty of online videos available for replacement how-to. My old one was clogged (screen filter) and was throwing an error code. I was surprised that it was clogged but with 250k miles on van, I think I got my money's worth from old one.Replaced valve, reset check engine light and it has been working fine ever since.

Installed and started engine. Started pouring oil from the seam and all over engine and ground. Removed and added a light coat of RTV to the gasket. Installed and no more leaking. Engine ran well in idle so I went for a test drive. All was good until the VCM went into ECO mode for the first time, check engine light and VSA light came on and van went into limp mode. Got to a shop and the RPMs shot up to 3k in Park. Scanned and got code P2647 (VCM stuck on). Had a hard time bringing it home, put my old Honda one in and everything is back to normal.

Like the title says, great product at a great price. No complaints. I kind of worried when I initially bought it because if the savings I was getting price wise. You know how they say you get what you pay for? Well, in this case I feel like I got GREAT quality at a cheaper price (more than what I paid)!! Definite win!!🤗

This was my first attempt ever at fixing my car! This was the part I needed. Arrived Quickly and packaged well. Great price!! It kind of confuses me how prices can vary online so greatly for the exact same product. But alas, I found a YouTube video, and got to work and within a couple hours the engine light was gone! I did it. Thanks for the great part.

I ordered this for my 2007 honda odyssey touring van. It was giving me the vvt codes. Changed this per what the codes were and it has been a couple weeks now and still running great. This was easy to change and took me only like 45 mins to install.

This a piece of junk. I should have known better at that price point. It worked for all of 1 day. I ended up having to remove it and buy a replacement at a local auto part shop.
