As part of my DIY solar installation, I picked up the Reliance 310A transfer switch to handle the transition between my solar battery system and my home circuits — and I’m incredibly impressed with how easy it was to install and use.Even as a beginner when it comes to electrical work, the installation process was surprisingly straightforward. The instructions were clear, the layout made sense, and everything felt well-labeled and intuitive. I had it wired up and operational in no time.Once installed, the switch worked flawlessly. I connected it to my solar setup (powered by 6 SUNGOLDPOWER 550W panels and a DELTA Pro Ultra 18kWh battery system), and it’s been smooth sailing ever since. The switch handles the load perfectly and gives me full control over which circuits I want to power from my battery bank. It’s been a crucial piece of my off-grid solution, and I couldn’t be happier with its performance. If you're planning a similar setup — whether backup power or full off-grid — the Reliance 310A is a solid, dependable choice. Great product, easy to work with, and reliable from day one.

It is great. I purchased on advice of electrician that set it up so I can use my generator in the event of a power outage. It very easy to use and lets me select circuits/appliances to turn on within the limits of my generator.

After running a number of extension cords during our last power outage I decided I'd get this for next time.Installation - My breaker panel is in the garage so installing this next to it was easy. The flexible conduit is only about 18", but the wire leads were long enough to reach the upper breakers in my panel. The breakers in the transfer switch are standard. #1&2 are 30A, the rest come equipped with 15A breakers. The manual states that 20A are supported so I swapped a couple to match my main panel. The switch also comes with two (2) tie-bars for double-pole (220V) circuits. The individual transfer switches feel solid with definite detents in all three positions (Generator, Off, Line). My generator would not support a full load on all circuits so it's nice that I can monitor the load and toggle circuits on or off depending on needs.

Purchased from Jasper Generators on Amazon on September 12 and had it on September 19. Relatively easy install thanks to Reliance’s step by step YouTube videos. Would have taken about an hour if my box would not have been recessed into the wall. I have not had a chance to run it with the generator yet but will update my review later if need be. Living in Florida I wanted an easy and safe way to use my generator. This switched seemed like a no brainer. I did change out the double twenty breaker to a double 30 to match my main AC unit. The 310A allows for the breaker change way easier than the older model 31410.

Very good product! Excellent instructions by Reliance on YouTube on how to install. I had one issue that took a while to resolve. Once set up and tested it kept knocking off one breaker. I checked and double checked everything again. Everything was set up properly. I went to the computer and found a post where someone had the same issue. He had a wire not connected by the factory behind the circuit breakers. I took the face plate off in front of the breakers and sure enough, one wire had not been connected by the factory. A very easy fix that caused a long delay and much frustrating. So, take the face plate off that covers the breakers and check the wiring before you install.Quality product! Would have given this 5 stars had it not been for this issue.
