The ball is placed on top of an acrylic square, which is then placed on top of the post. A metal bar acts like a spring, which is pulled tight and then released, shooting the acrylic square out from under the ball. The ball will remain on the post, similar to the pulling a table cloth out from under a set of dishes works. The ball and card apparatus includes instructions.
