VERY sharp edges, easy to cut yourself during installation, although that's to be expected with ductwork. The predrilled holes are not level, which isn't something most people will probably ever notice, but stuff like that always bothers me. Finally, the screen will keep out rodents, but it's probably not small enough to keep out mosquitos and insects.

Our dryer vent is near the corner of two exterior brick walls. There is not enough room to fit the face plates of most dryer vent covers. We thought we’d try this. Great fit! Also, many dryer vents are four inches on the duct connection, whiich means they will neither go over nor into the duct pipe, but somehow have to be abutted. This is 3.8 inches and slid right inside it! My husband was very happy! He decided not to screw it on, so that he can remove it easily next year to clean the duct. It looks very nice. The screen is tough, not flimsy. There are metal holders on the part that goes into the duct that hold it into place just as it should be. Good design!!! Thanks!

A (likely) permanent vent cover solution for our 6 inch ERV intake and exhaust ducts vs the OEM plastic covers that crumbled to bits with outside exposure. The bug screen is about the same as would be used for windows and doors. One star off for how sharp the stainless steel edges are. Unfortunately that is the norm for most SS sheet metal products, so protect your hands with gloves and work carefully. I also tried to carefully dull the edges with a file (or use a sharpening stone). Otherwise quite happy with the item and price.

I used for an A/C discharge Vent and it was too small of opening, and had to be modified to a 6" A/C hose for connection. But it is Stainless Steel and Looks Pretty Strong compared to the Plastic Units mostly sold.

Looking at the attached picture of the vent back side, the 2 red arrows point to the unequal gaps which means the parts were assembled off center. The yellow arrow shows the louvers were not aligned to be level during assemble. Therefore, the workmanship is poor. The product will still function as designed. At a distance you will not notice the flaws. It would not cost anything to assemble the product right. This just exposes the complete lack of quality on behalf of the manufacturer.

This vent is a solid piece of metal. Easily fits within a 6" pipe and the metal tabs actually do well to prevent it from coming out from the siding on the house. It feels really solid in hand and the mesh screen is definitely fine enough for bugs. I used this as a vent for a range hood with considerable CFM and it blows out pretty heavily - I can feel the air move on the ground and it's about 8-10ft up the side of my house.The rubber "gasket" is alright. It falls off quite easily but stays on enough for it to be screwed in place. I would absolutely still use caulk to seal this off from the elements. Trusting the gasket to do the job is not worth the risk.Make sure you get some thin screws for securing it in place as the screw holes are not very large.Side note: it was extremely difficult to find a mounting block that fit the size of this thing. I ended up just attaching it to the house as-is (and screwing directly through the siding).
