This Step Drill Bit Set has every shape and size you will ever need! It's a quality set. I've used the widest bit to drill a very clean hole in my polyurethane bathroom sink for a soap dispenser. I took it slow but it pulled through and left a clean hole. Wood was a breeze! The bits are sharp and the case is sharper! This case looks like a miniature version of all the cases you see in Hollywood movies for suspenseful exchanges in warehouses, but... there are drill bits inside!The only gripe I have is that the size stamping on the bits could be brighter and easier to identify. They're all pretty much like this though. This is a great buy!

The bits are not very sharp. Takes a long time to make the same cut other bits make. The color of the sic piece set I received is not as pictured. The color in the five piece picture is what I got in the six piece set. These are not bad but not great either. They'll do the job but for a beginner set.

I've had a set of hole drills that are the flat blade style and have found several times that they aren't the easiest to use. It's fine if you guess the right diameter and drill the hole, but if you're off, it's very difficult to use the next size up and widen the hole. When I saw these, I realized that problem wouldn't exist and you have a lot more flexibility with the size of the holes. I'm impressed with the weight and sturdy feel of these bits. They definitely feel like high quality bits. The case is pretty good also, though a couple of them had shifted around during shipment. Not a huge deal and no damage. I also missed any type of instruction sheet and am not exactly sure how to correctly use the punch tool thing. But overall I'm really happy with the quality and all the variety of hole sizes possible with this set.

These drill bits seem very sturdy and are well supported in their case. The case itself is higher quality than I was expecting and looks good.

Drill bits were a joke I drilled a pilot hole and not one bit would penetrate 1/8 thick material all 5 bits ruined junk waste of $

These work quite well. I’ve used them on metal, they work in wood, plastic…. Just an all around versatile and handy tool. They seem to stay very sharp and are heavy enough to be durable. The multiple sizes comes in handy as well. More so that I was expecting to be honest.Also included is the punch… which, I’m embarrassed to say, took me a minute to figure out how it worked… or maybe I should say why it works. It looks like it shouldn’t. But it does and does it well. It’s a good thing it’s included. Without it, getting a cut started on metal is like walking on ice. The but skates around. But with the punch, you do t have to worry about that.Anyway, I have no problem giving this one 5 stars. It’s is exactly as what was described, the tool does its job, and best of all, it didnt break the bank.

I do not do a lot of fab work but occasionally need to drill a quick hole of larger sizes. I wanted a good kit of step bits but didn't want to invest in anything that expensive since they only get used once or twice a month. This kit seemed like the perfect compromise, and I am very happy I chose it! The drill bits are definitely high quality and had no problems going through the metal that I drill through. The selection of sizes covers so many use cases I definitely won't be needing to add any additional ones any time soon.
