The product came in a case that protects the very fragile meters. Like any scientific instrument, these are delicate and must be handled with care. I think that negative reviews b/c buyers broke their items are unfair. They are thin glass! Anyone would know to be gentle with them!The package is a great protection but one must be gentle when using them.I compared the ABV of a known spirit (Vodka 40%/80 proof) and the meter was spot on correct.The instructions are obviously translated from Chinese, but careful reading and a few Google searches will make the process easier.1. Find the alcohol reading in percentage across the top row "40%"2. Find the temperature of the alcohol you are measuring using the thermometer. "20 degrees Celcius"3. Where the temp in Celsius row meets the percentage alcohol percentage column, that is your ABV! 40% or 80 proof. EASY.
