I am 6'5 with an average build, and typically wear a large or extra large shirt size. The vest is very basic, but made out of good materials. It fits well over a fall jacket, and would stretch a little (the elastic straps on the sides) to fit over a winter jacket, but would be a tight fit. Just worn over a light shirt, it is very loose on me (looks a little silly).The hat is very good. It fits great, and looks to be of good quality.For a one size fits most product, this is a good value at this price point.

The vest material is very thin but the hat is nice. The hat will be good in winter while the vest is open enough to fit over a winter coat. For spring and summer, the vest will work fine as it is light weight but not sure if it will hold up well to snags walking through the woods.

The hat has nice elasticity and a soft, cotton feel. The vest has fixed straps, which makes it mildly annoying to put on and non-adjustable once in position. I wear a M/L shirt and wouldn't want it much tighter for getting on and off, but it's plenty roomy once on. Actual XL people would probably find it challenging. Construction and intensity of color are consistently good.

Got this set for my husband to have when he goes hunting. The hat fits nicely and is comfortable and will be plenty warm enough. Seems like a great deal considering you would pay the same if not more for a hat alone at most stores and this one is good quality and comes with a safety vest as well. The vest is a simple, easy to throw on safety vest and is made well so it hold up. Just toss it over your gear and velcro it on, it will only take a couple of second to add a major piece of safety to your hunting attire. It will fit easily over other gear and both pieces are a super bright orange to help keep my husband safe in the woods.

Excellent Safety combo. The hat is nice and comfy and the jacket is very light weight. Easily visibly and a great safety addition when you are out in the woods.

Seems like a really good quality vest and beanie. I had planned for this to be left in my bag in case I forgot one but I think it may be better quality than the other vest I have. This will get the job done perfectly.

This is a nice bright orange cap and vest combo. The cap is a great soft material that is comfortable to wear. It was just a little snug, but nothing that made it uncomfortable to wear. The vest fit well - I wear an XL and was concerned that it may be tight given that the size is listed as M - XL, but it was fine. There is one velcro strap in the middle of the vest front, and both sides overlapped completely. I'm guessing that it might even fit a 2XL if needed.I'm very happy with this combo and feel it provides great value.

I live in a rural area and my property fronts a road where local drivers imagine that they are driving down one of two main straightaways at Talladega Superspeedway. I am thinking that the Allen Company Stocking Cap & Vest Combo will help them better see me when I am working near the edge of the road. Plus, there are too many deer and too many near-sighted deer hunters in my area as well. I am storing this combo in the truck of my car … just in case I need it when I am changing a tire.The stocking cap should work in all but the coldest of weather however the vest is what the folks at Allen Company designed it to be – just a blaze orange covering to alert folks that you are not a deer. Both pieces are great at this price point.
