This specially formulated product can be fired up to Cone 10 (2381° F.) on porcelain and stoneware. Just add any high-fire clay or slip to the jar contents, stir it and apply the mixture to the break or crack with a brush. Keep the pieces together until they are set and the application is completely dry. Clean the piece, then fire or re-fire in your kiln. The piece can then be glazed over once it has been fired. This product comes with 18.9 grams of mender in a 2 oz. jar. Once you add your slip or clay, it creates 2 oz. of mending material. This will last for multiple applications and has an indefinite shelf life.

I have tried a number of ceramic menders. This product seems to work the best.It helps re- attach pieces before & after bisque. I've mixed it with slip to fix cracks as well.

I have often used this product with great success. However this time the cracks were just too much to be overcome. I was repairing a platter with multiple cracks across the bottom and they were too far gone to adequately repair. Still it was worth a try and I would do it again

I had multiple seems that opened up after it was fired to bisque. I used the Aztec mender to fill the seems. I had to make about 5 passes with the product and sanding in between. I finally was satisfied I did as much as I could. I decided to fire it at cone 05 (low fire)just to see the results. I did stain the piece in parts. The product didn't accept the stain in the same way as the bisque ware material. I went ahead and fired it. The mend did hold up on the broken seems. It was clearly visible that there was another material in the seams. The product I purchased was high fire, so I decided to re-fire the piece at cone 6 to test it. Unfortunately at cone six all the seems opened up again. I guess stick to low fire for now. I did use the product on a box that had multiple cracks and I have applied glaze. It will be fired at cone 6. The cracks were not visible through the glaze but when its finally fired I will I see those results, and I can add more information.

I was makeing some custom tiles and broke one in the series. this glued it back together and allowed the final cone 6 fireing. came out great.
