Very disappointed that this item was not made in Germany. I ordered two of these, one was made in Germany but this one was made in Taiwan.

Great product. True 90° fit up. It's like having an extra set of hands. Once you've used real bessy clamps you won't waste your money on anything less.

If you weld tube (can be used for other shapes) and need square corners this is the setup... it makes keeping everything square very easy. Copper screw mechanism sheds spatter.. jaws when clamped exert hundreds of pounds of holding force (my estimate)Make sure you use them on a flat setup table... get four if you are building a full squareI use them for welding extreme duty 4 x 4 motorhome sub floors or flat beds. Also great when building heavy duty shop tables

Bessey make great clamps and this is no exception, Have used it a lot. Very good tool but you need two of them it you are making frames up a lot.

I’ve spent hours trying to align tubes to square by measuring the diagonals. These saved me a lot of time. Worth the price. HOWEVER, the bolts that hold the screw mechanism to the brace sheared off the first time I used them. I changed them to metric 12.9 hardness and had no more problems. Really stupid to cheap out on fasteners with a quality item like this. I also bought 4 of the 7-inch clamps and replaced the bolts before I used them.

This is simply a good piece of kit. I was using welding magnets before I bought this baby and they are a real pain. The Bessey welding clamp improved the quality of my work 200%. It gets your pieces at perfect right angles in seconds and you can tack it all around to ensure that nothing warps or bends on the final weld. Worth every penny. I bought two.

Fantastic!Totally worth the money, wish I'd bought some years ago!I went ahead and ordered 4 of these because we had 2 projects that required large tube frames. The first with 10 frames, 4'x10' of 1.5"x3" tube.The second with 16 frames, 2'x12' of 1.5" tube.Man, these clamps pull the frames right into square and hold them there while you weld. We ended up with very square frames in much less time (and frustration) than we would have otherwise. Great product.

well this is one surprise,to finally get something that i paid good money for,and be able to say it was worth the added expense.this clamp is large well made and overbuilt for what i'm doing now days but then again it makes a job go so much better when you have a good tool.I have several welding projects in front of me and from the reviews i thought i try one of these instead of the cheaper ones i have used. makes the fitting of angled joints faster and repeatable.4 inch square tube fit ups are possible,with 2 in a piece of cake.if your thinking about the price i'll just say think of the trouble a bad fit up has caused,and i've got over 30 yrs experience,this will save you time ,and create a better finished product and less headaches.

These units are beefy and built to last. I purchased them to prevent the metal from moving before and after the weld, and they do exactly that. I bought with a great deal of worry and caution, because Bessey's product line has become absolutely infested with lower quality pieces from Asia. Sadly they're just one of the crowd as everyone's doing it now. However, this particular unit seems to be made in Germany and its quality prevails. The mouth opens to 5" wide on each side, which handles the bulk of my welding needs. Overall I'm very happy, and I would recommend this to others.

I inquired at a local welding supply company and when they told me it was special order, would take two weeks to get, and then the price.... it was almost two hundred dollars more. They gave me a quote as I "had to think about it" and when I went to my truck I went on Amazon.... I was shocked at the price. I will also say that other companies sell it for a price that is close to Amazon, but I do have a prime account, so free shipping tipped the scale for me--- otherwise I had a handful of places that had it in stock to buy from.I will say that I can understand a local supply house that stocks the item to sell it for near retail, but with that they were almost double the retail price--- that is completely unacceptable and disturbing at the same time. Again, if they would have had it in stock or been able to get it within a few days for a close price--- I would have supported them.As far as the product, it is what it is--- it holds two pieces at a right angle and working primarily with 3" square tubing this was my first choice and it does the trick perfectly!
