This is used in many models of BMW, and it is used for the hood of my Z4. The deck lid of the Z4 uses plain buffers with no plunger so that when you pop the trunk on the remote it does not raise up (but it does unlock). Pulling those and replacing them with these makes the trunk pop up about half an inch when I unlock it. Cool. Genuine BMW OEM. The plunger probably falls out eventually just like the OEM part, but at least I can get more here!
