2023-09-28TL;DR - I can't believe I'm saying this, but this is one sexy filter. And it works great, too!I've gotta hand it to B+W, I didn't think it was possible to make a filter exciting, yet here we are. The knurling in my opinion is both aesthetically pleasing and functional.But design aside, how does it perform?Impressively.Compared to my older F-Pro UV, this filter suffers significantly less ghosting and flare. It's the best I've seen from a protective filter, and is only matched by having no filter at all. You can definitely find more affordable filters with equally good light transmission, but in my experience I haven't found one that doesn't suffer from ghosting.It is EXPENSIVE -- no doubt about that -- but B+W has been very reliable and for me it was worth the cost. The knurling was the icing on the cake.
