This thing is a beast ! It's bigger than expected. It feels really solid and easy to put together. It came with gloves but they were way to small lol. Other then that this product is great.

1. Well fitted sections with silicone o-rings. Lots of internal space for adding in whatever you want that will fit2. The shovel head is comp[arable in weight to tactical axes in the same price range. It does need sharpening. The saw could be sharper- but a file fixes that quite easily as does the overall length add to the swing if using the hatchet side compared to a 15-17" tactical axe.3. The fire starter is small but you can always throw in a few normal sized magnesium rods into the hollow handle.4. The knife is smaller than expected. This is why it only gets 4 stars instead of 5. You could probably spear a rabbit if thrown but to protect yourself from a mountain lion or other mid sized predators, it's too small.5. Two cloth cases are redundant, there should only be one.6. The emergency hammer is dull. It's clearly meant to be a glass breaker. It will work, I just like the ones that are a bit sharper.7. They should add a compass that screws in like the Knife.I'd recommend this tool. It's the same price as most smaller tactical axes with many more features.I especially like all the extra space inside the hollow tubes. You can fit a ton of hooks and fishing lineAlthough not perfect, it is worth every penny I paid. $18.38 USD.

I admit I got this shovel mainly for gardening as sometimes I need a smaller shovel in addition to my large digging shovel. The shovel comes disassembled in its own carrying case, and protective case for the main blade. The pieces are easy to assemble and somewhat flexible to use 1, 2, or all 3 of the segments. The material is carbon steel, and pretty heavy. I would not take this shovel backpacking, but only if I were car camping. After twisting together the segments and using it in the garden, I saw that the main join right above the blade seems to loosen itself pretty easily. This is not a huge problem but it makes the blade swivel a bit and needs tightening. Using it as a shovel works for small holes, as its size isn't designed for large holes or turning over a lot of soil. The other pieces and utility as a saw and knife seem pretty functional. Again, keep it in the car and use it as necessary. The price is quite reasonable for its heft and utility.

Great little shovel that breaks down pretty small for carrying in a backpack or keep it in your car. Has a nice grip to make it easy to handle. The multi function with the knife and other attachments all together means fewer things that you have to carry with you.

I didn’t know I needed a shovel to do so many things, but this one has taught me otherwise. If you’re an outdoorsman, or if you just enjoy cool gadgets, this shovel could be up your alley. The primary shovel screws together in three strong pieces – one is the shovel head and two make the handle. The head has one jagged edge and one that is fairly sharp, and they come together at a sharp tip. It can be straight off the handle or angled to serve as a hoe. One handle piece has a combat/utility blade that can be screwed in tightly to make a knife or spear. The other handle has an emergency hammer to break windows, a whistle, and a fire starter. The knife also has a bottle opener, which is less important but still adds to the fun. This is a formidable shovel, and if you need any of its functions, I’d recommend getting the whole shovel, especially for the low price (currently $23).

As a collapsible shovel/trencher, this is okay. It works. Better than some, worse than others. The handles fit nicely together and do have o-rings, though I think they're more to reduce vibration than to help the sections stay screwed together, because they'll still start unscrewing under use.The axe feature kind of works, but not great. It's only sharpened on one side, so it's really only good for chopping in one direction. The saw feature "works" technically, but it's very slow and hard to maintain progress. The knife isn't great. It's not particularly sharp, but it cuts carboard decently for a while. Dulls pretty quickly, but also sharpens pretty quickly, so I'd guess it's pretty soft steel (compared to proper knives.) But again, it's better than nothing.Haven't tried the glass breaker or bottle opener yet, but both appear that they will work, for a little while at least. If your choice is between this and nothing, go with this.If your have the option of investing in quality components, I'd suggest spending a little more on some quality individual tools that only have to try to be one tool each, rather than one tool that tries to be several.

I like this folding tactical survival shovel. This has 21 functions but you're probably not going to use them all unless you get yourself in a real jam. Primarily for me it's a shovel with a knife in the handle and a whistle and flint. The bottle opener is also quite handy as well as the saw blade on the shovel head. The shovel feels solid in the hands and is well built. The materials used are strong and it should last. I used the knife to cut some smaller pieces of wood for the campfire and later used the shovel to put the fire out. The shovel was also good at moving the coals around the fire and the handle was long enough to not get burned. A great tool to have in the camper!
