So far this works great and is completely saving my back, which had gotten to the point I needed my mother to come over and clean the litter box because bending over is not just painful but restricted by my doctor. Now I can clean it myself and I like that you can adjust it to more than one length. It appears so far pretty sturdy and it is built so you can either scoop out all the litter or let some clean litter sift through.

This is a great tool for daily kitty litter "duties". I love the fact that I don't have to hunch over and get the job done with the extended length of this scooper. It's got a telescopic extention that has two lever tensioners to keep it in place... While these type of tensioners aren't the most durable, they tend to eventually push in the poles... They work well enough if you aren't doing some heavy-"duty" scooping. I was in doubt about the durability of this scooper, and I suspected that it might be somewhat cheap in quality, but I was wrong... The poles are nice and robust enough to do the job, though the tensioner clamps might not be the strongest for heavy scraping of the stuck contents on the bottom of the box. It does hold well though when pushing through the loose litter. The scooper end is a screw on, and I find I might have to retighten this periodically... I tightended it very tight, and it seems to be holding up OK for now.This is definitely a game changer compared to our other handheld scoops. We got rid of all the plastic ones as they are junk. The scooper end does have a front that has smaller holes and near the back of it has more of a "grill" type of sifter, which doesn't get some of the slightly larger clumps that tend to fall through... but with careful scooping, these bits can be sifted with the front-most holes.The cleaning process isn't the best, as I find sometimes some of the fresh loads tend to mush into the front a bit, but this is typical with all of our scoopers.At this length having a scooper like this really makes the task much easier. I find it best to get a small box and a plastic grocery bag around that small box, and the bag takes shape of the box allowing for easier scoop and dump into the bag. This has made life much easier and because of that I'm not longer daunting the daily scooping process... No problem!It's lightweight and strong enough to do the task at hand, though my only complaints are the tensioners and the chance the scooping end might come unscrewed. Otherwise this thing is a great investment for the price!

I like the idea of this. I didnt even know these things existed. Seems great for when you clean your cat little your not hunched over the or on your knees cleaning the litter box. When I received it I was really surprised at how durable it felt. The head of the scooper itself is very solidly built, and the handle is OK. Maybe slightly cheaper feeling than a good snow brush for your car. It extends and locks in place and and can easily go to any size you want it. It made scooping easy in my opinion and it seemed to get down on the corners of the litterbox better than a standard scooper because of the angle of the scooper head. I was able to lift up large pieces of pee at a short distance, and fully extended and it didnt feel like the handle was flexing or that the head would break off. The handle feels good when you're digging in and scraping.The biggest and really only flaw so far I can see in this is that the handle locks dont lock very well and so when you go to dig down into the litter the handle retracts back in because theres not enough force on the clamps to lock the handle in place. If they would fix the handle locks and make it so when you dig and scrape it held them locked and the handle didnt move this would easily be a 5 star. Maybe it would behave differently in something other than standard scoopable litter. Im not really sure.That being said, even if you want a longer than average scooper that is decently built you cant really go wrong with this 20 dollar item because even at its smallest length its still almost two feet long.

I have problems bending over to do the litter box so I thought I'd try this. The ability to choose between 3 different lengths for the handle is great - it gives you options. It is kind of hard to use at the longest setting, so you can just shorten it if you want. The scoop is metal and has two different sizes of openings for sifting of different types of litter. Using it at the longest setting, I would say I wish the scoop was at a different angle, more like a soup ladle, because I had to have the handle horizontal to lift things out of the litter box. I still had to bend over, and then I had to avoid the long handle hitting the wall. It was good and sturdy for scraping clumps off the bottom of the litter box, to then bend over to scoop. So even though the design angle is off, it still did cut down the time I had to bend over at each litter box. The other problem I had is the handle would come unscrewed if I turned it one direction (had to turn it back the other direction to tighten it again). So I'm giving it 4 stars because of the angle and loose handle. I will be gluing the handle on to stop that problem.
