My Kentucky Mountain horse is hard to fit when it comes to nearly everything. The cob size had too much room around the nose but it lasted almost 2 years. He's trashed every halter he's had in less than 4 to 6 months. Some nylon, some leather. I ordered yearling size this time around (he's 14.2h) and it fit him so much better, which is the one he is wearing in the photo. It's been holding up great with 24/7 use. I have a spare of both cob and yearling size as he turns into a wooly bear in winter and may need the additional room with his this coat. Plus, with him, I keep spare or two is always kept on hand. Very happy with the quality of this halter!!
