This valve cover gasket fit perfectly on our 2014 Chevy Sonic 1.8L. If you see oil in the spark plug wells you'll need to replace the valve cover gasket. We didn't change it when the original coil pack became faulty and we just replaced it and cleaned up as much oil as we could in the spark plug wells. The leaking oil damaged the replacement coil pack within 20 months requiring us to replace it again. This time we did it right and replaced the gasket too. Oil in the spark plug wells can lead to a much, much more costly repair and this inexpensive gasket installation was a breeze.

With a little bit of mechanical ability, this part is easy to replace. I had oil in the spark plugs when I went replace them I needed a new valve cover gasket. This gasket was thirty dollars cheaper than the parts store I installed it and I haven't had any problems after two months of driving.

This fit my 2010 Chevy Aveo with 1.6L engine. Perfect fit and cured the oil leak. Simple to install, need t40 and e10 sockets and a pry bar. Good time to replace spark plugs while you're in there.

I was leery about ordering this "generic" name part instead of OEM, but after viewing photos and reviews I decided to take the chance on it. Our Chevy Cruze had a leaky valve cover gasket causing oil to pool in the spark plug wells, which in turn fouled the plugs and the ignition coil pack. This caused misfiring on more than one cylinder. The quote from the dealership to replace the valve cover gasket alone was over $200, so we decided to do it ourselves after seeing it was a simple fix that anyone with a little bit of automotive knowledge and tools could do. It comes in a brown paper mailing envelope. The part itself is a flexible blue silicone that was an exact fit to our valve cover. Following YouTube tutorials, we easily removed the parts from the engine, removed the hard, crusty and useless original gasket, carefully placed the new gasket in the cover and viola- no more oil in the wells. We would strongly advise that if you find oil in your spark plug wells to first replace the valve cover gasket, then replace your spark plugs and also replace the ignition coils if they are soaked with oil (like ours were). The misfire codes were gone once we did all of this, and the best part is that we saved a lot of money doing it ourselves. We aren't the most car savvy people, but all we needed was a few tutorials and the correct tools and this job was done fairly easily.
