After I attached a wire to the old.one and pulled it through the new one went im just fine.i lubed the grommet and it we t right in the hole in firewall for the new cable.fit well well snapped onto the latch lever very tight and holds well.works great.tool about a half hour.to.install.the Dorman handle.was definitely made better then the 29 or 25 dollar generic brand cables.perfect fit.
