The cable was the perfect length and once installed, it functions very well. Installation process, that's another story. There are a three brackets that hold the cable in place so it's not flopping around or just handing there. Each of these brackets has a tab that fits into a fixed hole in the frame of the car that help keep the brackets in there position. The tab on the brackets on the Dorman cable were all in the wrong spot. As a result I had to bend them out of the way and bolt in place as it. As a result one bracket didn't exactly fit like a glove. So basically I had to jam it in enough to get the bolt to catch and let the bolt tightening take care of the rest. Once installed, the cable appears to be functioning as designed, for now.
