This is the second time I have had to replace the emergency brake cable in my Silverado. This cable I have installed twice and it breaks at the same place EVERY TIME. The head that is inside the drum, looks like a sloppily welded ball manages to break off and you will hear squeaking and grinding coming from the rear passenger wheel. Pain to replace. But I gotta do it again. I’m going to look for the OEM GM cable this go around. Dorman doesn’t seem to be what they used to be.

Installed these on my 2005 GMC Sierra about 6 months ago. Parking brake is solid and have not had any issues with them since installing.
