How to Test a Harmonic Balancer?

Start your engine and check the harmonic balancerto see if it oscillates while the engine is running. Take aflashlight and shine it directly on the balancer to seeif it goes in and out as it spins. If the harmonic balancerwobbles when the engine starts, then it's broken.

Why is it Important to Replace Harmonic Balancer？

Rubber rings are subjected to engine harmonics and harshconditions caused by heat, cold, dirt, chemicals and oils,resulting in significant deterioration of the rubber ring betweenthe inner hub and outer ring, and finally the balancerhub or outer ring is significantly cracked or warped.
