Solid replacement for my 2003 Beaver Monterey. My old Esco ESM50 went bad and wouldn't transfer from shore to generator and vice versa. install was easy due to the same model and transferring as it should like normal.

Works great! I have inverter on one side and generator on the other side. I noticed no draw on my battery bank with the magnet engaged and the humming noise from those magnets are not to bad. My inverter is my main power source.

Almost exact replacement for my Todd Engineering transfer switch. Took about an hour to install. Came with warning that relay hum was normal and is not covered by warranty, but so far the relays have been quiet with no discernible hum. Does not ship with documentation (specifications, installation directions) but they are available online at http://escotest.jimdo.com/technical-documentation/transfer-switches/

This transfer switch was essentially a direct replacement for the Todd transfer switch that was original equipment on our motorhome. No wires had to be lengthened or shortened. It is a much better design, with replaceable parts. The "50M" in the name apparently stands for the 50-amp capacity to handle each of the two power sources. The "65N" apparently stands for the 65-amp capacity of the larger neutral wire between the two contactors. Why they have that is unknown to me, since both contactors should never be closed at the same time. Perhaps it is a deliberate over-design in case one of the contactors fails to open.So far, it does not hum as the original did. I've had it only a few months, and so far I have had no problems with it, but that is what one would expect of something as simple as this.
