I ordered this for the childcare room at my MOPS group (Mothers of Preschoolers) and the kids loved it! They ask for it everytime now!

Definitely durable. We use it every weekend for our small party company. Comes with a bag for storage.

A handle has ripped off already after the first use. Very disappointing.

I remember playing with these type of parachute toys when I was in elementary school. My two teenagers used them also. I thought this might be a great way for my toddler to "feel normal" during this whole stay at home thing with the pandemic. My husband, myself and my two teens have used this to play with her night after night once it arrived. She absolutely loves it. She is a bit young to figure out how to use the included game suggestions but we will be using them as soon as she gets a little older. I really appreciate that Franklin included ideas as it has been years since I used one.The carrying/storage bag is nice. The full parachute easily fits in the bag after use and it helps keep the parachute clean and in good condition between uses.I do know that kids can be a little bit rougher on things than adults/teenagers so while we haven't noticed any damage please keep in mind who we had using it. The fabric does wipe off fairly easily if anything were to have gotten on it and it feels like the same type of material they used to be made of. Something similar to a windbreaker jacket. Overall this is the exact same type of toy as we all enjoyed in school as children and I hope children will be enjoying for years to come.

We had a family gathering recently- seven children between 2 to 8 years old. The kids had fun launching their stuffed animals as high as they could into the air!On days when it is just my two children, we use the parachute to cover part of our climbing dome (all but the bottom row- see photo), creating a shaded space to relax. The loops on the parachute can be slipped over the climber's handholds, but clamps are needed to hold it in place on days with a breeze. The fabric is similar to the plastic material many picnic “blankets” are made out of. When the parachute moves, it does have a “crinkle” sound.Franklin Sport also makes a “Ryan’s World” branded parachute that might be preferred by younger children. Strangely at the time of this review, that parachute is just a little bit cheaper. The parachute did come with a game sheet that included the following ideas for play (added here in case you misplace the sheet!)-Around the world:Each player holds onto a handle around the parachuteWave the parachute up and down, taking turns racing underneath the parachute to get to the other side.If you make it through without the parachute crashing down on you, you win!Go back to your original handle, and then the player to your left gets a turn to race underneath the parachute.Popcorn:Collect as many lightweight balls as possible. If you don’t have any ball around the house, get creative by using folded socks in a ball shape, crumpled up paper, cotton balls, packing peanuts… whatever works!Place the balls on top of the parachute while it is lying on the ground.See how long it takes the group to pop all the balls off the parachute.Note: if you are playing outside in the Fall a good substitute is to collect all the fallen leaves from the yard and place them on top of the parachute. When ready, toss the parachute up into the air and watch all the leaves rain down!If you’re happy and you know it:Sing the song and follow along! If you’re happy and you know it…Clap your handsStomp your feetShake the parachuteTurn around (Turn around in a big circle with the parachute.)Pass the parachute (pass your handle to the person on your right.)Pull it high! The wheels on the bus:The wheels on the bus go-'round and ‘round!Pass the parachute or walk in a circle if standing. The doors on the bus go open and shut!Pull the parachute forward and backward. The wipers on the bus go waa waa waa!Use the parachute as a handkerchief. The horn on the bus goes beep, beep, beep!Pretend the parachute is a horn and beep it.Musical Parachute:Flap the parachute up and down to the beat of the musicWhen the music stops, quickly go underneath the parachute and sit on your handle to create a giant bubble. The last person to sit on their handle is out!Rating this 4 stars as it met my expectations, and the price matches the value

It comes with ideas on how to use it which is fun and it catches air pretty well. It's smaller than most parachutes I've used (at school) so it isn't for a very large group of kids but worked well with my kids and their cousins. The handles are easy to grab, but one ripped off on second use. Overall we had fun with it, but the quality isn't great. In the future I'd spend a little more for a larger and higher quality one that will stand the test of time.

My children and I enjoyed playing with this popcorn parachute. It’s just the right size for us, 4 people, with each of us holding onto two handles. The material that it is made of is very strong and lightweight. If seems to be some sort of windbreaker material. The colors look very nice! It even comes with a red storage drawstring bag. It also came with instructions for different types of games to play with the popcorn parachute. It’s nice wholesome fun and we got a little workout playing with it as well.

This Franklin Sports 10ft Popcorn Parachute wasn't quite what I was hoping for, but it still is fun if you have several kids playing with it. My 2 sons tried to play with it and it was difficult trying to do much with it with just them by themselves - so this is definitely an item that needs a fair amount of kids to participate to make it the most successful and fun. The material is what sort of disappointed me a little - the parachute is made from really stiff plastic-type stuff and made with cheaper materials than I was hoping it would be made from. I do like that it comes with an included storage bag, and the colors are bright and fun to engage kids with. Depending on what you are looking for, YMMV.
