I'm not a regular hard hat user. I was looking for something that I could use on an occasional basis. This fits the bill it is very comfortable (for a hard hat) and it seems well built. The adjustment is is similar to a welding face shield and adjust tight. Like most things it does take some getting time to adjust to wearing it. I can't attest to the impact resistance of the unit since I have not had anything drop on my head. As silly as it sounds I'm typing this with the unit on my head to see how it stays in place, and it does. The real test will be how it feels at the end of a long day and when something heavy drops on my head. I'll have to report back on the long term use.

Great for a kids costume. Wasn't looking for anything super special, real, or comfortable but with this helmet I guess I got all three. It's a decent construction helmet with proper impact straps and protection. A nice gap between the top and the cradle to keep your head clear of any hits. Adjustable size goes from massive to almost small enough to fit my nephew. Can't speak to its safety abilities on the job but it checks all the boxes for my nephews construction costume.

EDIT: initially I gave low stars because I couldn't install the head piece into the helmet. I wasn't able to figure it out but my dad was. I was trying to install it upside down. This product could benefit from instructions on how to install it. I don't want to say I'm dumb but it took us way too long to figure out how to assemble the helmet. ALSO: the sweatband is removable for cleaning.I cannot install the head attachment piece to the helmet. The design of the helmet makes it impossible. I was able to attach two of the plastic tabs only AFTER filing it down and scraping the plastic off. The other two plastic tabs have a hook and prong that is simply too thick to be shoved in. I have strong hands and grip and still was unable to push it in even after sanding.Eventually, I will be able to insert the plastic tabs after more sanding, but this helmet should require such extra work. I will be compromising the security of the helmet attachments because of how hard it is to install.Other than that, the helmet is reasonably comfortable and fits my size 23" inch head. It says it fits sizes 6 7/8" to 7 3/4". It is labeled as meeting ANSI Z89.1 and Type 1 C E, G & C.There is a non removable sweatband liner. Overall, this helmet was thoroughly disappointing.

I would consider this a very light duty hard hat. Not something I would use in places I thought I might seriously need a hard hat. This is one of those things that the initial impression is fairly good, until putting it together and realizing how low quality the straps and connections are and how poorly they snap into place. Not to mention the fit is not great. Spend a little more and get something quite a bit better if you really need one. That said it is a hard hat, just not a very good one.

This isn't a pro job site hard hat fyi. While that may not seem like the ideal thing you'd want to protect your head, it is still useful. Is this something I'd use on a job site? Maybe. I don't know if you get laid off from jobs from bringing this type of hat on site, but in today's day and age where things go missing, I would keep this around as bait for those crooks who like to have sticky fingers. If they're a jobber, they won't know it's a cheap hat. But if it's one of your fellow journeymen, they're going to leave this alone becuase they can tell right away. That said, there's still light duty around the house use for this HH and it's just fine for that purpose. The price is much cheaper than a pro HH so I can't knock it for being cheap quality.

OK- I have to confess that I'm using this as a prop and not really to protect my noggin. And for my purposes, it works great. The color is bright and cheery:) All that being said, it looks very substantial and in my (admittedly uninformed) opinion, it looks like it would function well as a safety device too!

This hard hat is excellent for lighter duty head protection, particularly doing projects around the house and property. I procured this one with an eye toward annual post hurricane cleanup. It was quickly and simply assembled, adjusted easily for size and comfort, and functions exactly as advertised. Even the color was the same as seen on my monitor. If you are in the mood for an economical, personal use hard hat, I can definitely recommend this one as a possible choice.

Terrible product. Headgear wouldn’t stay inserted into the hardhat, so every time you take it off and go to put it back on, you have to reassemble. Poor design and cheaply made.
