First fishing trip with this rod. Had it in a pole holder on a boat. Got a decent bite and went to grab the pole and the butt broke off before I reached it and my new rod and reel went into the water. Butt material is extremely thin. Wouldn't buy again.

I had a small issue with the rod and there Customet service was excellent. I took the rod to Dominican Republic and it worked like a charm. I would recommend this rod and this company.

Overall I really like this rod. Its over 6ft long and has great strength and flex. yet it disassembles neatly into its well protected tube at only 29 inches long. comes apart into 4 friction fit sections. the exterior of the rod has a nice looking fit and finish. the largest diamter pieces of mine did have a difficulty fitting together but as I have put them together and apart over a dozen times it is fitting more correctly as it wears in. overall these are great for travel.

This is an extremely well constructed travel rod. The ferules fit precisely and lock the sections together perfectly resulting in an assembled rod that looks and feels like a one piece rod. The action is very positive and responsive. The reel seat holds the reel firmly without any side to side play. The guides are straight and firmly attached to the rod sections and the ceramic inserts are smooth with no burrs or ridges that would abrade your line. (Very important when using braided line.)I mistakenly ordered the casting rod instead of the spinning rod but am glad I did. This casting rod is better than any of my other casting rods and will be my first pick when headed out for a day of bass fishing. The fact that it is a travel rod is a plus for me because I can leave it in my Jeep with a small tackle box for an impromptu bit of fishing when the mood strikes.

This is a very nice 4 piece pack rod. Comes with the carrying case that is well padded to protect the rod. The four pieces are tucked neatly away in a nylon pouch for travel. The rod itself is very stiff. Not what I had expected when I ordered. This was supposed to be light action but is quite large at the butt end and not much action. Would be a good bass rod I suppose. Definitely not a crappie rod. Title says surf casting. This is not a surf casting rod either. Somewhere in between but seems to be well made.
