Installation for hardware was easy with just 4 bolts to a mounting plate on my wheel stand (it also comes with a desk clamp which I did not use). Software install was easy as well. Plug and play into a USB port where it was automatically recognized. I was able to map the handbrake successfully in both Project Cars 2 and Dirt Rally without any trouble.I was expecting the handbrake to function where it increases braking as you pull further back on it (like a real car handbrake) but instead it's an on/off state (on once you pull back to a certain threshold). I assume this is a limitation of the games I played which both had a simple button press assignment for the handbrake. Still, it's much more tactile and immersive to use a handbrake lever versus a button on the wheel.Construction quality seems very good, but I've only used it a couple game rounds so far. I'll update the review if it starts giving me trouble. The pics I added are right after install with the handle at the default height (it came with handle installed). The handle height is adjustable, so after trying it out, I lowered it to be closer to the height of my shifter.There are a lot of similar looking handbrakes like this one and I notice some of them come with two tension springs (one with more tension). This handbrake only comes with one spring (already installed), but it does have good tension when you pull back on it... does not feel too soft.

I really like this handbrake. It's true that it's essentially a button: there is no analog range of motion here. It's simply on or off, but it really feels great and the excellent build quality is a great addition to any racing setup. Tension is good and it's fun to use. It's very well machined and there is customization available in configuring the handle length and it easily attaches to a desk or mount with the included clamp or mounting plate.
