DTC-70 pads for for race cars...ONLY. And they are AWESOME, been using this pad for years on my M# with ST-40 big brakes.

Worst pads I've used, bad initial bite and stopping power. bedded in 2x and on fresh fluid. Sticking with hawk HPS for street pads.

I'm really glad to see Amazon carrying this version of the Hawk brake pads. The description needs to better label the product since most would not know this is the HAWK DTC-70 brake pad material unless the have done the research. I have driven on the track for several years with this brake pad on my StopTech ST-40 4-piston calipers. (355mm aerorotors with aluminum hats) I go through 2 to 3 sets a year on the track. These are outstanding brake pads. Very high initial bite that modulates predictably. Very high friction that requires finesse by the driver. Great life on the track with reasonable rotor wear. These are not for the street and squeal like crazy if you drive with them on the street. (on the track, they are pretty quiet at temperature) Again, a great product.

If you need a combined mostly street/light duty track pad, then these will suit your needs. Feel is good, initial bite (even when cold) is still fairly solid, and they are there when you need to really bind things down in a hurry. The only negative is noise. With standard 1-piece rotors they really aren't too bad in most cases, and when they do squeal it's very high pitch and almost out of human range. But you might want to think twice about HPS's if you're running 2-piece rotors, as the noise is amplified by having an aluminum hat. If this doesn't overly bother you, then HPS's are a solid choice.

From what I heard hawk is the way to go to get good performance for a aggressive driving. have had them for over a year and they are great in snow, wet, dry. note I also did a slotted brake rotor upgrade.
