Quick delivery, installed it on my Z4M. Close to Oem for noise and dust, worked fine for a hot trackday and didnt notice any fade throughout the day. However braking power is alittle lackluster for the track.

Awesome replacement for OEM pad, good pedal feel and bite. I use these on my Z4 on street and track. They do get pretty hot and wear quicker on track, but stay consistent and squeak far less than track-only pads.

After 2 weeks installation of Hawd Pads, iron dust cover and stuck to the rim and damage my new roto and the rimm. squeaky noise so loud while driving and braking. Do not buy. see the picture. The pads are shinny because so much metal on the pads. They need to give me a full refund and the damages.

Much better than OEM BMW semi metallics. More linear pedal fell unlike OEM. My other car has Hawk HPS. This one is very similar with less dust. I don't see any reason to go with OEMs. (Used them on E46 M3). Akebono proAct and HPS 5.0 are my 2 favorites now depending on the application.

It's interesting since I've used Hawk HP Plus pads on street with at least 4 different cars including the integra type r, rx7 FD3S, E30 m3, and now the E46 M3. Only the type R and E46 M3 have i used on the track. the type r had no issues on track. The e46 m3 at 3600lb with me in it had issues in 75F weather. the pads began to melt and left some glaze on my rotors.another issue is how noisy these pads are, they used to be tolerable on other cars but after bedding again and again they are VERY noisy. I'd recommend you either go with the street pads, or jump straight to DTC-60.

I was a little worried about the HPS 5.0 series pads before I bought them. I have been a long time die-hard Hawk fan, and have put their pads on every car I've owned in the last 15 years. They absolutely rock. But with many new products, when a company makes a change they usually do it to sell out, leverage their good reputation, cut corners, and make more profit... NOT to actually improve the product. So I was scared, but figured I'd give these a shot and if they sucked I would just buy the original HPS pads I've been using for years. But I was pleasantly surprised to see that these pads indeed ARE an improvement to the old model. They are quieter, produce less dust, and have much better initial bite (especially when hot) than the old hawk pads... which were already far superior to all the other name brand pads I have used.Long story short... BUY THESE PADS!!! You will not regret it. Gives any car sports-car-like brakes, and gets rid of the insanely expensive and super dusty stock pads that come factory on european cars. Absolutely amazing. Cheaper than OEM and miles ahead of them. Lets keep these guys in business... they are doing it RIGHT.

I really like Hawk HPS brake pads. BMW owners, you're familiar with the OEM brake pads - the black soot that comes off of them!!! Very annoying. Sure the OEM pads have great cold gripping ability. But I feel like these pads stop just as good. They do not make any black soot either. Their longevity is very good. We have 3 BMW's. I put Hawk HPS pads on all of them. No complaints. I'm happy with the stopping grip. No squeeks or squeeling either.

I used these pads on my BMW E46 330i @ Watkins Glen for a 2-day track day, and they worked great! Stopping power was dramatically better than the stock pads, and there was little/no brake fade throughout sessions of 15-20 laps. They definitely work as advertised with CRAZY stopping power. Installation was simple & easy. Now the downside...After following Hawk's bedding-in instructions for the pads, I still could not believe how LOUD these pads were for normal street driving. We're talking so loud that everyone around you stares at you like there's something wrong with your car! I drove out to the Glen with these pads on the car, and I couldn't wait to get them off the car once I was done at the track, simply because of the noise that they generate. Incredibly squeaky, even from the slightest amount of braking, all the way to hard & abrupt stopping.I guess this is just how race pads are when they're not operating at high temperatures, but I would not recommend anyone drive with these on the street unless you like insanely loud squeaky brakes. As for the track, I highly recommend them to anyone that's looking for a race pad at a great price.

I just purchased these for my car and installed them this weekend. The pads came in a durable box and were shrink wrapped together with either rubber bands holding the pads together or some other type of fastener. This made sure the pads arrive undamaged (so they were banging around in the box) but the shrink wrap and fastener were easy to remove once I got to work. They also included some lubricant that you apply to the points of contact between the pad and caliper to compensate for any potential rubbing or noise which was a nice touch. Now I cannot speak to performance and durability yet hence the 4 stars instead of 5 but so far the pads seem to be responsive and solid. I do need to break them in further but if they continue to work as I expect them too I would easily say 5 stars instead of 4.
