Bought these for my 2010 Mazda Speed 3. Came with everything needed, and install was a breeze. However it was obvious that someone had bought these and returned them. The box was mangled, the bag the pads were in was already open and it looked like someone had already mounted the pads. I didn't have a choice but to use them, luckily they didn't seem to actually be used.Haven't had a chance to see how the brake dust is yet, but so far they feel great. Good OEM+ pad for a street car, have good initial bite, and a very consistent feel. They are a bit squeaky when cold, which doesn't bother me but might annoy some people. Once they are warmed up, they don't seem to squeak anymore. I'd definitely buy them again.

Reasonable price. My second set of pads and I am. Happy with how they function. Definitely a more limear feel as compared to stock. Held up fone in winter weather as well.

Not sure how folks give these 5 stars.. They're merely OK when compared to OEM... OEM is worth 5 stars, not these things. I forgot how underwhelming they were in my 02 WRX and put them on my 08 Mazdaspeed 3. Mistake...I personally want something with more initial bite. When I first got these I needed to stand on the brake pedal to stop. It took so much more pressure than I was used to using to stop. It took some time to get them to grab with medium amount of pressure, but still not quite as confidence inspiring as the OEM pads were..I'm going with Stoptech Sports this time. We'll see how they do.

These pads took a long time to get broken in. I followed the initial procedure to break them in but still it took a lot of brake pressure to stop the car for quite some time. Eventually they do start to work well though. I think the OEM grab harder but these are a lot cheaper. I have used them with Centric 125.45078 rotors on a 2008 Mazdaspeed 3.

I've installed these pads along with new Centric rotors on my 2012 Mazdaspeed3. These don't have as much immediate stopping power as OEM pads, but they cost less than half, so that's expected. Braking is more linear, which some may prefer and others may dislike. I find myself stopping a bit later than usual, as I have not yet gotten used to applying the brake pedal more than I had to when I had the OEM pads. I have not heard any squeal from the brakes. Make sure to use appropriate lubrication when installing, and follow the break-in procedure on the box.

These are a perfect fit for my 2011 Mazda Speed. I paired them with the Centric 125.45078 Front Brake Rotors. They are both nice products. I tried going cheap at first and got some auto zone pads. The Auto Zone pads did not have the correct metal connectors on them and didnt fit tight so I bought these. These Hawk pads have all of the same metal connectors that were on the stock pads and fit great. My big compliant is that these hawk pads squeak from time to time. I followed the break in process and they still give a squeal every once in a while. Not all the time - but the cheap auto zone pads never squeaked one time.

I don't get the hype behind these pads. I don't race at the track, but I'm a spirited driver around town and regularly find myself traveling at high speeds in on twisty roads (Grapevine near LA, Hwy 17 over the Santa Cruz Mountains and Shasta Pass near Weed, CA) where the brakes are used a lot. These Hawk HPS pads work pretty well when they are hot and under high speed, but they have almost no grip during regular around-town driving and they require a hefty push on the brake pedal to engage at lower speeds. Not only that, but damn do they squeal! Even on brand new rotors the pads give a high-pitched whine while braking (unless braking hard). The squeal and really minimal engagement at lower speeds got me to switch back to OEM pads with 50% life in the Hawk pads.Bottom line - for the price you should stick with OEM pads. They have better low-speed engagement, almost equivalent brake dust, and very similar high-speed performance.

I have always liked the Hawk brand with all the racing heritage so I thought I would give them a shot. I have to say as OE replacements they are excellent. I coupled these with some power slot rotors to complete the look. They are very low dust which I didn't really care about in the previous reviews but after having these low dust pads I don't think I could go back. They are so low dust in fact that my OE rear pads put off more dust than these do on the front. I can't wait to upgrade the rears.

This product installed easily and produced great results compared to OEM pads. They were much less expensive and seem to provide more stopping power (not tested officially). There is much less brake dust than OEM and no squeeling in cold weather. They seem to be a great balance between performance and daily driver needs.

I purchased these as replacements for the OE front pads on my 2007 MazdaSpeed 3. While the intial bite isn't as good, they are very linear with respect to pedal pressure, low noise, excellent cold stopping power, and are low dusting (especially compared to the OE pads!). These are excellent pads for street use on a daily driver.
