The o-ring in the kit is an upgrade to the OEM seal, which is not capable of withstanding the aggressive/corrosive hydraulic fluids. The Nitrile Rubber compound used in this seal is exceptionally resistant to petroleum based oils, found in hydraulic fluids used in the convertible top hydraulic system.
Fits the following vehicles built on the R230 chassis:
SL350, SL500, SL550, SL600, SL55 AMG, SL63 AMG & SL65 AMG

we did the entire procedure as describe by seller and result was a mess. I am not recommanding to any one to try thisdo you a favor buy a new or rebuilt cylinder and hose fitting
