I use these as markers at the bottom of my driveway on a dark street. I have experimented with amber, red and blue color and find that amber is significantly more visible. Being in NE Ohio they are subject to frequent abuse in the winter from snow hurled from snowplows. The failure mode is almost always the "ears" used to attach.

I ordered three sets of these reflectors. Out of the six, 2 of them had malformed reflectors, as if they had partially melted during the manufacturing process. As well, all of them have very thin plastic at the nail hole, suggesting a relatively short lifespan no matter what. All in all, a lousy product.
