Leather is alittle narrow, I bought this for my 2 1/2 month old gypsy vanner colt . It has one hole left to adjust before it doesn't fit him. It took about 3 weeks to arrive.

Was pleased with the quality especially for price. Isn’t too thin of a leather and is just as described. Very adjustable and was perfect for my growing colt. I’d use until about 3m and then switch to something a little more sturdy just to maintain the product, but had no issues.

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this foal halter. It's a very good fit for a young foal, the short grab strap really comes in handy, the leather is good quality and it arrived looking exactly as shown in the photos. Yes, it is held by rivets on one side ( as shown) but unlike other reviews, I find them to be well set,with no sharp edges, and I consider this construction to be a positive point, as a foal halter should break if it's put under extreme duress, and the rivet points would likely be the point where it would release...rather than allowing your foals neck to be injured. I would have absolutely given this halter 5 stars if it had arrived in a more timely fashion, as it is it took several weeks to arrive and I had not realized when ordering that the wait would be that long. Be advised that it takes awhile to arrive, so plan in advance ( I can't really blame them that I didn't!) all in all I would certainly recommend this foal halter to anyone with a foal under the age of 4-5 months.

As a Breeder I have tried just about every foal halter made. This one is by far my favorite. It is fully adjustable around the cavesson as well as the crown. The leather is soft and supple and the grab strap is the perfect length. Going to order more.

I like the product with nice leather.What happened to stitching?The leather was held together by metal studs and the inside of them were star shaped and rough and this part would be against the foals face. I had to use a hammer to flatten out the sharp edges to prevent them from cutting the foal. Maybe the metal fixings should be changed for a better smoother fixing.

Bought this for my 2 week old colt to start halter breaking. Good construction. Works perfect for what I need. I definitely recommend this product. Oh 1 thing I did have to take my leather hole punch and make 4 more holes to fit my colts head but that's really not a huge deal.

Soft leather, light weight, and good quality. To fit my two week old filly, I had to punch two additional holes in the neck strap (1" apart to match existing hole spacing) for the halter to sit high enough on her head. Would be great if the side straps were a little longer or even adjustable so that the nose strap wouldn't sit so high up on her face. Overall, though, good design, and halter breaking has gone well using this.

Bought this on sale and so glad I did ! Well made soft leather with lil lead strap. You can attach lead rope under chin on halter ring also. Fit new born baby and still good after 2 months of use. (Filly is handled daily.) good halter great price. I prefer soft leather on babies face. Nylon is too rough. I am a customer and didnt recieve anything for this post. I also depend on real feedback before I buy anything online.
