I ordered these when I was changing out my inner brake cables. I do this once a year, no matter what. My bike came with Jagwire CGX-SL housing and Sport Slick cables as OEM. I bought these as upgrades, buying into the hype that Jagwire promotes for their polished cables. Are they polished? Yes, like a mirror finish. Do they perform better than the originals? No. The feel and performance were identical to the OEM cables, which were very good. The Sport slick cables can be purchased on Amazon for less than $10 each, so that makes the Elite cables THREE times the price! In short, save your money and buy the Sport Slick cables instead. Running them in Jagwire CGX-SL housing will give you the same excellent performance as these cables costing three times the price!
