We were going to get a standard key operated lock until we realized that if our car keys were taken, the thieves could use the key on the wheel lock. The combination lock operates smoothly and the yellow color stands out as a deterrent. Maybe if seen, we can avoid a smashed window. Very solid bit of kit.

The set up was bumpy and had to to go through the set up many times before it finally allowed me to set up the pass code and then the width, and then lock it. I was worried that it was so difficult to set up, but put it in place on my steering wheel last night and locked it. This morning the whole process of trying to use my pass code started all over again. Several email suggestions from the manufacturer did not work. I had to hire a locksmith to come and break off the end piece, as show in the picture. So it's in the garbage. I have a Kaycentop tire club that works with combination passcode. No problems with it. So definitely it was the product, not the user (me). Amazon fully refunded me for my trouble and I don't have to return the defective club, either. But locksmith cost me $139 to get the thing off my steering wheel.NOTE: The locksmith tried to break into the combination lock and couldn't breach it. That's why he had to just saw off the left hook. So if you order this and have no problem with setting up the pass code and it locks and unlocks for you without any problems, it's a really good anti-theft device. But if you have problems with the pass code set up, send it back to Amazon. And DON'T put it on your steering wheel!
