I really like LP products but some items in particular really miss the mark. This stand from an overall standpoint is mediocre. The only reason I give it 4 stars is that in my particular case I have made them work for me but that's only because I am a tall individual. Otherwise, I'd give these a 2 or 2.5-star rating.Pros: These stands are quite sturdy for what they are. Most importantly they are very lightweight and easy to transport. They are quick to set up and tear down and lastly look cool. I guess the updated(?) version has a black nickel look as opposed to the light aluminum in every photo.Cons: Crucial oversight on height adjustment. The drilled holes DO NOT allow going below a certain height which renders the rest of the machined holes useless. The legs should have had shortened joints to allow height control (there really isn't any initially) for people who are shorter. I'm 6'2" and still thought my congas sat too high. I realized if I extend the legs 'out' as far as they go, the basket is widened and thus allows the drums to sit just slightly lower. I'd say if you're shorter than 6 feet, to pass on these stands.Because of the pros and thankfully my height, that is the reason I gave these stands the rating I did.

I have used a set of these for several months now.They replace another type of LP conga stand.I really like these. They fold up. So they go in acarrying bag nicely. They are aluminum. So theyare relatively light. They are sturdy. They hold thedrums firmly. I like them a lot!

I love these stands, and own 3. If I need to play seated, I just take off the leg extensions and they're perfect. Light, easy to transport and set up, super easy to adjust, and stable as heck. Highly recommended.

These stands look much shallower in the LP video. With the lowest setting and the conga siting barely above the center plate the height increase is just over one foot. I wanted something to stabilize my congas and raise them maybe 6 inches off of the floor. I'm 5'10" and playing a set of 34" LP 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Palladium Congas. At minimum height these stands put the head of my congas around 3 inches above my navel.I suggest avoiding if your congas are taller than 32 inches, or if you are shorter than 5'10".
