This item ran small. I'm a size medium is shirts and welding jackets shouldn't fit as tight as a shirt they're supposed to go over your clothes so they should not be snug

This was purchased as a Christmas gift for my adult son, who is a welder. The jacket is heavy, but not restrictive, allowing him to move easily while working. It's warm, buy not suffocating. I was very excited for him to have this jacket, but after only a handful of times being worn, it's falling apart. The stitching has come out in the arms. There are random holes throughout the jacket, proving that just because the jacket is heavy doesn't mean it's durable. The clothes of a pipeline welder are often dirty, stained and covered in burn marks, so it's not unexpected for these things to happen... but the holes and stitching was unexpected and very disappointing. Purchased this welding jacket to try out when welding class starts up, I like the look of it as well as the quality. It is heavy but not overly heavy so you won’t be wore out from wearing it all day. I do wish it had both outside pockets instead of just the right hand side but I can live with it. It does have plenty of pockets inside and out for pencils, markers, and whatever else a welder needs at hand to carry.

The leather seems very quality and comfortable but there's a few problems, I haven't had it super long but some of the sticking is really coming apart. In addition while everything else fits super well I cannot get the collar to Velcro shut as it's supposed to so that's really disappointing. Otherwise great product.Main real issue is the stitching, the shoulder pocket has come completely loose and I can feel a long loose thread in one of the sleeves.Update:Thought the shoulder pocket might be an isolated incident so I originally gave 3 stars NOPE only a couple months in and during an overhead mig weld the sleeve seem opened up and acted like a funnel catching all the weld spatter funneled directly onto my exposed arm!!! Quality supply is false advertising, LITERALLY FALLING APART AT THE SEEMS!!!!

First jacket ordered had mold growth covering the entire inside of the welding jacket and I sent it back for a refund.Refund was processed and several months later another jacket was sent out by the seller for free under the condition of a updated review. Second jacket is of much high build quality (and also has a much higher price). In general it is a better jacket that the first one I received and I would say is worthy of the price. No issues with it the few times I have used it.

Bought this to use as a base layer for a suit of armor. Works GREAT! Good leather, Sturdy. Worth it.

The buttons are not th e greatest they Do not stay closed . Open up with ease. Do not like buttons. Other than that it’s good. But if the buttons open and your welding it’s not good.
