Final step is replacing this used board after my opener gave didn't have power. So I replaced the capacitor and power came up but 5 flashes errorSo I replaced this board without replacing the RPM piece like previous reviews mentioned. Hopefully this will last another 10years

I was a little nervous that this would not take care of the issue we've been having with our garage door opener, but it did! It was easy to install and reprogram our garage door openers to it. So glad I had the option of buying refurbished instead of new. It looked brand new when I open the box so they cleaned it up nicely. Would definitely recommend to anyone to give this logic board a try!

My 19 year old model 3280 Chamberlain Opener stopped working. The indicator light next to the β€œlearn” button was flashing 5 times. Per the manual, that indicates overheating or RPM Sensor failure. The motor was not hot and 50 degrees in garage so I knew not overheating. Online info suggests that if RPM sensor goes bad the door will close a foot and then go back to full open. Mine only made clicking sounds. It didn’t move at all. Also verified capacitor not bulging or leaking. Called Chamberlain tech support and went through all their questions and they suggested needed to replace main board. Online forums suggested the same. Expensive part but easy replacement and much easier than replacing entire opener unit. In 10 minutes it was operating again. Then just needed to re-pair my opener remotes.

Fixed my problem. Super easy install. Paid for itself on what I saved on a service call.

Bit finicky to insert the plugs due to small working space for them but the actual control board unit was great.

My Liftmaster Model 3280 door would not open. It would turn on the light and not move the track. I pressed again and the light continued to flash and would not stop blinking, so I unplugged and tried again. Same result. Blinking never stopped. Almost like a short or power supply issue. I researched and took a shot that my board was defective. My current board showed it was made in 2008 and I found that these boards can go bad. Replacement was a breeze and I was hopeful that this Amazon part (41AB050-2m) would work. There were several reviews and questions that listed this as working for my model, so I ordered. Glad I did. Board came well packaged and new install was easy. I was weary at first given the 4 small wires were not re-installed correctly. The instructions list "grey" and "white" wires, but mine are all white. When I installed the new board, the light came on, but door didn't budge. I noticed the LED door "safety sensors" were not illuminated. So, I went back to the 4 small wires and noticed I had switched a pair. The 3rd and 4th wire were reversed. After correcting, the LED lights on the door sensors (at bottom of garage door so the door doesn't close on any obstruction) were illuminated again. After pressing the opener, all is back and functioning correctly! An easy fix and much cheaper than getting this fixed by a repair company. Just remember or label the wires so you don't get them mixed up. A very easy install otherwise.

My garage door opener just stopped working - I had no lights, it didn't respond in any way, and I read it was likely the controller board. So I grabbed the part number, look it up, and found some YouTube videos of guys saying it's likely this part that is the issue, so I ordered it, and literally in less than 5 minutes I had it swapped out. Really easy to do, just need a screwdriver. One thing you should note is the position of the 'open force' and 'close force' dials, just match those from your old door opener. Reprogramming the remote took only a few seconds - and I also finally setup my cars garage door opener as well. Oh, and note your 4 wires for the garage door switch and safety sensors, you want to reinsert those into the same slot on your replacement.Overall, this is an extremely easy update that anyone can do. It's three screws, and disconnecting a couple of cables, which are keyed, so they'll only go back in the right way. And then the 4 wires, which you just put back in the same place you took them out of - and since you're just replacing the board with a new one, they're already stripped for you and ready to go.Anywho, save yourself a lot of money and just do this yourself. You just need a ladder and a screwdriver, that's all.

Our Liftmaster controller died after 16 years of use. The other part in this motors in these devices last forever so rather than replace the whole unit which would be require replacing belts, switches and systems and cost upward of $500 labor and $300-ish device, I thought I would just change this out. The board is a little too pricey at $135 plus but works well and hopefully we will get another. I wish it was cheaper and instructions were clearer but I was able to install it.
