A made a slit in it to pull it out quickly from case, just to keep it out of the way, but ease of access. Have it behind the foam.

Great, like all Magpul. Well though out, designed, and manufactured. Simple design with great features. There's a small magnetic area to catch smascrews, springs, etc when working on your knives, firearms, etc when in the field. There are snaps on each corner so it can be opened up to lay flat in your bag or case. Makes a nice, small nightstand or dresser catchall.Absolutely one of my favorite non-weapon related purchases from Magpul! Top recommendation.

This is nice and flat when unfolded and takes up nearly 0 room in my range bag. Whe. I want to download a magazine for different drills this is great at keeping rounds from rolling away.

This thing takes up next to no room in my range bag, but is ready to quickly snap together and hold ammo, lens/scope caps, small tools, etc. in an instant. Really glad I have it, and I have used it often since buying it.

This is my first field tray / pocket dump station.This one is very nice from other I’ve seen because it can be collapsed flat and has a magnetic spot for screws and loose bits.• Pros - Made of a robust material that’s easy to clean, collapsible, very nice size and made to last.• Cons - magnetic spot needs to be a bit larger and needes to be offered in a deeper size for (personal reasons).This will be bought again for my EDC and one in the smaller size soon.

Typical of Magpul, they used quality materials and made this thing look great, but if you’re looking for strong magnetism, you may want to look elsewhere. The magnetism is spotty and weak. It’ll hold a pin in place, but not parts like an ambi mag release lever or an extended bolt catch. It will keep things restricted to a small space, but so will a Tupperware container. I guess I was expecting something closer to a mechanic’s parts tray. But it being collapsible, it’s very convenient because it’ll unfold flat and can easily be carried in your range bag or something similar.

Cool organizer. The small magnet is good for keeping small steel items centralized, like a cotter pin from the bolt carrier assembly. The tan middle section makes it easy to spot parts and sort them. I honestly haven’t undone the buttons to carry the tray flat, I just enjoy having it always ready to keeps parts in place when I’m working. Really well done, I’m eyeing the small one as a night stand valet.
