This scooper was purchased to sift sand in a chicken coop where sand is being used.I have used it several times now and can conclude a review.1. It functions as should be2. The product is long, but not long enough to avoid bending down.3. The metal scooper seems sturdy4. While sifting and emptying the droppings the handle extension unscrews often amd will require often tightening.5. The soft handle are nice, but I would prefer silicone which would last longer, but also would be easier to clean.6. The sifter has good holes and I am able to collect most chicken dropping with it.Overall it seems like a well made product, but I am giving it 3 stars because the handle keeps unscrewing and it drives me bonkers.

This litter scoop is extremely durable metal, and should hold up well. The cushioned handgrip is nice. I don't use the extended handle, but it would probably be nice for someone who has difficulty bending over. It does clean up well. The only downside is that the heavy metal is a little harder to slide through my clumping cat litter while scooping, so functionality is little affected by the durability.

Metal has always been the material of choice for the kitty poop scoops we've had in the past. More durable and easier to clean than plastic ones, they have always felt more hygienic.This takes a metal scoop and elevates it a little bit further, adding an easily-extendable handle into the equation. The process of adding the extra length tales a little getting used to, but standing up to clean out our Princess' box as much easier than kneeling down on the floor in front of it.It feels strong, but lightweight enough not to give you an extraneous strains.

I've been a huge advocate for metal litter scoops for many years, even when there was only one maker on the market. Whether it is just one cat, or multiples with multiple boxes, they are an absolute necessity for cat owners. Getting older, bending over to scoop boxes has pretty much been impossible to do without a few days of lower back strain. I'd given up and just started placing clean pee pads on the floor before I just kneel/sit down and so our daily scoops. It still feels gross, so this new ability to have a metal scoop on an extension pole is a gamer changer. The whole process when so much faster without all the bending and prep. Just take and toss! My only reservation is that I have a bit of a learning curve to get through when it comes to aim and disposal. We use a litter champ / locker for waste storage, and while the scoop isn't too wide for the opening, I definitely have to work on my aim when dumping the full scoop from a distance into such a taller bin. It may be easier to use a smaller bag-lined bathroom trash bin. Overall: a new must have for litter care!

This is a good, solid metal scoop with slots in the right places. It has a large bucket area and works really well to scoop the box fast, which we all want to get over with as soon as possible! The grips are easy on the hands. I like that the extender handle is fast to get on and off, and stays put when you use it. If I want to do a quick scoop without bending down, or if I need to take off the extender and really get down into the corners of the box, it changes easily.The one thing I noticed when it first arrived is that the slots on the bottom side are a bit sharp, but I won't be touching those after it's been in use. But if you have kids or there is some reason that could be an issue, take note and keep it away from anyone who might cut their fingers.If you don't always want to bend down to scoop the box, I would recommend this tool to get the job over with quickly!

This is a quality, heavy-duty litter scoop that really impressed me. It’s made entirely of metal, yet still feels relatively lightweight for how solid it is. The construction is sturdy and durable—this thing feels like it’ll last for years. It’s more like a mini shovel than your average scoop, in the best way.Functionally, it’s excellent. The long handle makes scooping way more comfortable since I don’t have to bend over nearly as far. I also really appreciate that the extended reach keeps me as far away from the turds as possible—which, let’s be honest, is a major win. The padded foam grips on both the short and long handle sections make it comfortable to use no matter how you set it up.The only thing I’d change is the handle design. It comes in two screw-together pieces, and I think a telescoping handle would’ve been a more user-friendly option. Still, it works well and the adjustable length is handy.As for the price, I think it’s fair. It’s definitely more of an investment than a cheap plastic scoop, but it’s absolutely worth it for the durability, comfort, and added distance between me and the mess. I’m really happy with this purchase and expect it to hold up long-term.

I have tried so many litter scoops. I’m honestly saying that this is the best one yet. It was easy to put together. You just screw the end to the scoop, and then you have at it. I’d say it’s the perfect length at least for me as far as long scoops go, the ones I’ve used in the past were too long so it became actually more difficult to use them because the scoop didn’t bend or rotate so you’d have to lean over really far to even get in there. This thing is also solid metal. It feels sturdy. I’m able to use this and clean the litter box while standing up and there’s a lot of stability and control and every piece of this doesn’t feel cheap or like an afterthought, like so many products these days.I haven’t been furiously searching or anything, but I have definitely been in the market for a decent scoop for a very long time and I know that I finally found one. Also, my husband likes it and as you know with men, they will help do a chore if the tools that chore requires are cool- and this thing is solid metal, which is by default super cool! everybody wins, especially my cats. If one can even have a holy Grail glitter scoop, I believe that this one is mine.
