What a difference! I installed pods on my bike and it was running lean. I went from 35 to 37.5 and finally the 40s. It's running like a dream now. When I was using the 37.5 I had the pilot screw turned almost all the way out (like 4.5 turns) not good at all. With these 40s I could turn the screw in a couple of turns. I've bought a few other things from this seller. Quick delivery and the product is as described. Recomended seller.

Your motorcycle, ATV, or PWC's carburetor is set at the factory to run smoothly and pass the ever-increasing EPA emissions standards (don't get me started on CARB---CA Air Resources Board). However, these settings aren't always optimal for every condition (altitude, riding style, temperature). If you experience rough starting, poor idle or poor off-throttle performance, you first should check to see if your pilot jets are clogged (a VERY common problem). In this case you'll need to completely disassemble the carb(s) and clean the pilots. After you're sure the pilots are clean and you experience poor starting, rough idle or poor off-idle acceleration, you may want to consider increasing your pilot jet size. Another good reason for disassembling your carbs is to verify what pilot jet size you have in your carb. There is a little # stamped on it. Make sure to look at each one and record the #. Some multiple carb setups may have different pilots for each cylinder. These factory Mikuni pilots are the same used by Mikuni, so there probably are few brands that are better. If you are considering buying pilots, make sure to buy from a reputable name such as Mikuni or EBC---watch out for 'no-name' brands sold on eBay.....the Chinese are copying almost everything and using eBay sellers. The only reason I'm giving these a 3 star rating is that the picture is incorrect. The ones shown are 'bleed-style' used in some Mikuni carbs and these are the non-bleed application (no holes in the side of the pilot jet). This is no fault of the seller---their distributor, Western Power Sports, has provided them the incorrect picture.Happy carb tuning!May 2014 UPDATE: Since the correct picture has been uploaded, I've upgraded my review to 5 stars (the original picture was incorrect as noted previously)
