I have the Bilstein shocks that are leveling. I had a really hard time getting these in due to the extra coils . It was near impossible to get the spring compressor out from in between the coils. But there in and work.

I will say, these springs seem nice and have a nice coating on them. However, unless your truck is lifted these will not work. I have a press and was able to squeeze these in my current Bilstein 4600 struts. But they are compressed so tightly in them there is barely a 1/2 inch between each coil. And they have expanded the strut out an inch more than a comparable stock coil and strut. I am no suspension engineer, but I know a recipe for disaster when I see one.

SAFETY FIRST !!!!I upgraded the coil springs with Moog 81118 coil spring set, new locking hub actuators and new complete 4x4 vacuum line set, lubed and cleaned everything that could be also( 6 hour install in my driveway by myself, I don't think that was to bad)SAFETY FIRST !!!! (DO YOUR OWN HOMEWORK ON TOOLS)Make sure you have the right tools!For a 2013 F150 STX 4x4;(DO YOUR OWN HOMEWORK ON TOOLS)I used ; Heavy duty coil spring compressor(I used 8MILELAKE Heavy Duty 280mm Hook Coil Spring Compressor), Two floor jacks (I used a 3.5 ton and a 1.5, two Jack stands,Sockets MM; 32,27,22,21,19,18,14,10,8, large breaker bar & pipe, Wrenches MM; 22,21,19,18,14,10,8.Good set of pry bars sledge hammer 1.5 lb, plastic rivet remover tools and pliers.

The end of the coils did not match up like the stock springs did. I had to twist the bottom shaft of the strut to hammer the strut into the control arm on my 07 f150 4x4

While they come up as the correct springs for my 2011 F150 they didn’t match up well. The number of coils were different and just didnt look the same as the factory springs. Didn’t risk using them.

Two issues with these springs:1. They have more coils in the same length as the stock springs on my 2006 F150. When compressed and installed on the struts, the standard spring compressor will not come out of the space between the coils. I had to use 2 internal hook type compressors placed on the outside to get them on the shocks.2. The ends of the springs are not indexed correctly (not the same as stock). This is fine if you get new struts that allow the lower end to be rotated to any position. They will NOT for if you have stock struts with a fixed lower stop.
