The traditional square is characterized by establishing perfect 90-degree angles. However, with Mtsooning devices, you can also measure the diameter from inside or outside. The square arrived in an envelope and was slightly bent. using it for photo so wont effect what I am doing, however may want to look else where if you need it for accuracy. The packaging provided no protection whatsoever and was not even shipped between cardboard. just stuffed into an envelope. Suggest going to physical store not having it shipped. The item is nice, numbers easy to read and I have not checked for accuracy yet. I doubt it is square but only need it for sizing objects in photos.

the square is a nice quality, and the imperial side(inches) is great. Its the metric side that is useless: the markings are in mm, but even worse, they repeat every 10cm, so for example, what should be 15cm is "50" ??!! And it gets worse than that: the smaller divisions are an exercise in special relativity, so for example, the small divisions after '50' go 60 70 80 90. But then the next large division is 200 followed 10 20 30 40. There is no way to use this side for any sort of measurement. Whoever designed the markings on this ruler is not from planet earth.

This ruler has the benefit of great angles and heavy enough weight too stay where you put it while you make your chalk lines. I highly recommend it too sewers who re-work clothes into different pieces of clothing.

Absolutely worth the money. It’s a must have in a shop or drafting table. The size makes it great for smaller working spaces compared to the larger versions you normally see in a shop environment.

i was looking for a 8 x 12 ALUMINUM ! square witch i have and it seems no one makes anylonger. to bad i love mine ( do NOT like the heavy steel ones evryone is making now ) got this one for my daughter. its quite nice except the metric on one side but it will work...

I didn’t read the actual size of the ruler. With that said, I still love it. It’s really sturdy, and it gets the job done.
