We searched for a real, useable telescope for landscape/water viewing since we live next to a big lake and forests. They are not easy to find!! Many are just replicas to make yr room design or something! This is functional! End caps protect the tube. It is adjustable with just one hand. Comes on 3 legs that spread apart like an easel (or triangle shape), which are secured by clamps& chains on each leg. Height is 5 ft which works for us at 5'6" and 5'8" :). A beautiful piece that looks cool even when not in use! Keep in the house and bring out whenever we feel like using. Worth the price and effort in finding. Excellent piece.
