Purchased these boots in January of 2024, was very comfortable at first but the toe came apart first part of May 2024. see attached picture. I drive truck and a lot of climbing in and out of the truck. I was hoping to get a year out of them.

After about three weeks of wearing these boots they have worked out well. I decided to delay my review so they could be worn for my job. I do a lot of driving but a good deal of loading and unloading during the day. The padding in the soles are good, the laces have not broken and they give me decent support. The downsides are, the size 8 men's is a bit snug and I can see where the center lace loops are very weak. They are also hot to wear, it's like my feet do not "breathe" in them. But for $29, right now they work for me.

The boots are great, very comfortable and well made. As we any boots I buy, I suggest spraying with some waterproofing silicone or similar type of spray, and do that before you wear them outside. Also, as recommended, they tend to run a 1/2 measure under what you will actually need. (I wear 11.5 and bought a pair size 12, fitting perfect.)

Very inexpensive, as such it gets 4 stars. Be forewarned, they do run small. I'd suggest going a half-size up when ordering. My 10.5 pair have my toes very nearly touching the end of the boot. If I wore them for actual hiking I'd be in trouble.

I had no illusions about what kind of boots these would be when I ordered them. Cheap boots are going to be made cheaply. But thats why I ordered them and they met my expectations. If you need an inexpensive, multipurpose boot for LIGHT use then these will do fine. They are NOT for serious hiking and I would not even consider using them for anything more than a 2-3 mile jount in the woods. They are stiff out of the box and may become more pliable with use, but I wouldn't take a chance with them. Sizing seems to run smaller than indicated. I wear a size 12 so ordered size 13 to allow for heavy socks. Unless they stretch out more, heavy socks will not work. They seem to be one full size smaller than marked. In putting them on for the first time one sewn eyelet ripped out. I punched a hole in the upper to thread the lace through. You get what you pay for. As I said, I had no expections for a great boot. For actual hiking I wear a more expensive boot with a proven track record. I wanted another boot that I could use for occasional wear when I didn't want to wear my good boots. For that purpose they are exactly what I was looking for. If you don't expect much from these boots, you won't be dissapointed.

When I received them, thought they are small but fit perfectly as expected. Did 5 days hiking in the mountains 2500m high peaks. A lot of rocks, sharp, wet, slippery. Never slipped once! Very solid, the soles are soft, flexible and "glue" to the stones. Light and breathable. Satisfied and for the price a real bargain! Wear hiking merino socks and tie the laces firmly and you'll be good to go places!

I have never owned dedicated hiking shoes. I purchased these last week, received them Wednesday, and backpacked 50 lbs 5 miles in last Friday. Was it dumb? Probably.Do I have blisters? Yes.Were these shoes somehow still pretty comfortable? Also yes.Honestly, I didn't even get close to what I deserved for packing in 25% of my bodyweight the first time I wore these things. The fact I wasn't more torn up indicates the quality of fit these exhibit. Pretty lightweight, probably not 100% waterproof but a bit resistant for sure. At the price point, I don't know that you'll find a significantly better shoe.
