Trisna Dewi
Artisan Trisna Dewi from Bali was born in 1983 and grew up surrounded by traditional dance and music. Inspired by her culture, she began crafting musical instruments at age 20, learning carving from her father. She started with a neighbor and expanded into making artistic instruments and sculptures. Despite setbacks and initial lack of interest, she stayed motivated to improve and evolve her work. Trisna emphasizes resilience and creativity, always striving to learn what people appreciate. Though not a musician, her instruments are loved for both decor and playful use. She works with wood, leather, and aluminum, often using scraps to reduce waste.
