The voltage regulator portion has B+ voltage all the time on the black wire. This leaves the entire bike in the on position whether or not the key is on or off. The original VR was put back into service correcting the fault. The 3 phase rectifier portion appears to be functional so this installation was not a total fail. The unit is nicely sealed and heat sunk with external fins.
