Purchased this motor in 2017, with relative limited use and after 4 years in the car, the windshield wiper motor fuse blew. Upon testing the motor had an intermittent short that spikes above 21 amps and blows the 20 amp fuse.Do you feel lucky?

Motor gave up the ghost after 8 months. I blamed the problem on a weak fuse until fuse 3 popped. Motor would run with blades removed, then pop the fuse when they were put back on.

It works now. I tried to install it myself, but it wasnt an exact replacement on a 1998 Civic EX. The wiper transmission would "clunk" and eventually dislodge from the motor as it didn't align well at all. I took it to a mechanic and he had to shim it and tweak the install to line it up. He charged my $55 for the installation of the motor (i already had the old one removed and had to reinstall the cowling)EDIT - Stay away from this garbage... Only lasted 11 months and stated blowing fuses. Need to replace.
