I am not a mechanic. I use this as a rolling seat in my office. I have very limited space so everything I buy has to be multi-purpose and a seat doubling as a tool box fit the bill. My only complaint is that it is a few inches too short for my liking but I'm going to see if my husband can replace the seat with something a little thicker eventually. I think it's also worth mentioning to anyone who might use this the same way I do - do not work barefoot around this thing. It is heavy duty and stubbing your whole foot is a terrible experience. Also, if I don't hurry up and buy him his own, I may have to start locking my office to keep my husband from stealing it because he is a mechanic and has tried once already.

Good: Sturdy construction, well designed.Bad: Instructions, leave out critical information.Ugly: Use of rivets for the enclosed box, difficult to takeout the drawers.Assembly: If the hardware pack(wheels, bolts, nuts, washers) does not fall behind drawers.Loosen the bolts that connect to padded seats. Then install wheels to the side trays. With the wheels installed, position side tray(s), and install support bars, ensuring they overlap under the bottom of the box, not protruding out. If the holes don't lineup, loosen the padded seat!. There are two bolts with slightly different heights. Use the longer ones for the support braces. Shorter ones just for the outer holes in tray. Follow picture after second instruction. Install outer bolts, retighten padded seat bolts. If you are one of the few, where you have the hardware pack falling behind the drawers. Don't try to fish it out! No clearance! Don't waste time, trying to get drawers out!, not easy.First remove all the foam liners out of each drawer!.Place the padded seat on ground, and slide the two bottom drawers(close to wheels) out. Then slide in the bottom most drawer, and quickly put the tool box right way up. Now slide out the bottom drawer to retreive hardware pack!If you are one of the few that has foam liner stuck behind drawers. You need tiny fingers/hand to fish it out. Also, it is a good idea to put squares of doubled sided adhesive tape,to secure foam liners, to prevent them getting struck behind sliding drawers.Enjoy your new Creeper toolbox seat!!!!

The tool drawer was a gift for my son. He loved it! He is using it in his garage making it easy to roll tools out to work on vehicles and roll them back in.

Everything about this tool box/seat is sturdy. I weigh 100kgs and I don't stress it at all. The drawers move really smoothly, it rolls around well, even on carpet. I'm really glad I bought it to work on my bike with.

Assembly was easy and quick , instructions where crap, and blurry, but you don't really need instructions. Great chair for the price.

Been a mechanic for many years and have owned many mechanics stools. This is the only one I have ever seen with drawers to keep tools in!! I have set it up with the basic tools for brake work and lighting since those are the "low" jobs on vehicles , and it is working out just GREAT!!!
