I just started to use this for my cats yesterday, so I may be too quick to have concerns about it. I use non-clumping litter for my cats’ litter boxes, and I’m thinking that litter is too heavy for this product. The plastic handle bends back where it meets the scoop, and the blue color of the material is already getting lighter in color. When that happens, the scooper bends back towards the handle, and that’s pinching my forefinger.I’m trying to be mindful about trying to clean less mess with each scoop, but this material is not as strong as my previous plastic scooper that I bought elsewhere (and that one lasted for a few years).

Very sturdy construction and it cleans litter box easily.

We love these scoops. They aren't pricey, they are easy to immerse and clean, and they are light to use. They can break if used in heavy litter, but if you are careful, they do not.

Even though I had to return this product because it was bent when it came out of the delivery box....I feel this is an overall good product. My last Van Ness scooper lasted a year, before one of the edges started to break. I will continue to buy these scoopers, as they are light weight, sturdy and a good size.

Item is simple enough, however it's a sturdy scoop and when cleaning litter gunk doesn't stick. THANKYOU

Me gustó mucho la pala, estaba en oferta y me costó una quinta parte del precio en la tienda de mascotas, El ahorro está genial y el producto me agradó bastante.

Come on...i bought this for under $1...I see all these reviews like "this scooper is horrible, it breaks, it cant hold my cats pee/poo"...haha, so what kind of cat do you have? are you sure its not a lion? This scooper works completely fine, i have used it multiple times already with no bend in the product...i'm sure these people who are leaving such negative reviews are waiting till the last minute to clean the kitty litter when its of course going to weigh a lot more than if you do it regularly. But seriously, i love it because i paid less than $1 and it works just like it should...works exactly like the one i pad $3 for...so works well for me!

Having been adopted last fall by my daughter's outdoor cat, we were moving from a big house to a tiny apt and she had to become an indoor cat ....and I had to become a LITTERBOX tender. Yuck! I love my cat, she's been more of a blessing than I can say, but I sure wish she was toilet trained!! My first time making a litterbox (we were still at the old place trying to get packed & moved), I didn't have a scooper, so I used a cheap slotted spatula (it was in the dump pile). Huge hassle!!! After we finally got moved, the only place in the apt to put the LITTERBOX was in the bathroom. I started comparing REAL litterboxes (that first one was actually a plastic drawer out of one of those roll-around storage things, and the spatula). I found a 3 piece sifter box which I thought would be a major improvement. It was, as long as I was using clumping clay litter, but I was still sifting the entire tray of litter at least twice a day (hey, I was a novice...all of the cats I had ever owned were outdoor cats, but like it or not, moving into an apartment meant kitty had to use a box). Then a dear friend told me about a "natural" litter (::::whispering::::..walnuts) that was supposed to be better for everyone, have less odor and dust and not need to be changed as often, so that was my next litter purchase. I know she meant well, but that stuff would get stuck along the sides and in the holes of the sifter box, not to mention it got all over the bathroom AND the rest of the apt!! I was even finding it on my bedroom windowsill (2 rooms away!) where kitty likes to sit. After that debacle, I went back to the clay clumping kind. I scrubbed all the pieces to the sifter set and started anew with clay litter. We've had to buy paw mats to try to keep the litter near the box, but it's still a hassle. I was still finding lumps stuck to the sides and screen and it was a pita to try to scrape it out. I was wishing I had saved the $1 scooper I had purchased after I got so frustrated with the spatula, but it was left behind. So I ordered this one and now there is less swearing in the bathroom twice a day when the litter gets 'stirred & scooped'! Yeah, this was a long trip to get to that last bit about the scoop, but I thought a bit of background was needed ;). If you need to sift things out of kitty litter, dirt, whatever...this one did the job. No photo... It looks exactly like the picture Amazon has to the left of the stars :)

I hate to brag but my cat uses the toilet that is fitted with special seat/tray (green level of the Litter Kwitter). So I use this scoop for very light work when, occasionally, some poop doesn't make it in the water and I have to push it off the ledge of the tray with the scoop. The scoop is the size of the average litter scoop and it is pretty sturdy (I have used it in a litter box but not for heavy scraping). I bought it when the last scoop I bought at Petsmart got too nasty. This one is so cheap that I will probably just buy new ones rather than clean the old ones.

Works well for the $1 it cost. The handle is a little short and a little flimsy if you are trying to dig under a really deep layer of heavy litter. You have to be sure you don't scoop too much at once or you will just snap the handle right off. (I made that mistake once.) The slots are also a little big which can make it difficult to get smaller stuff out of the box. I try to use the edges where the slots are a little smaller for those pieces, but it's not the easiest thing to do.I have been using Precious Cat Ultra Premium Clumping Cat Litter. It's a bit expensive, but it works very well and when I clean the box out every day, I can get almost a month out of the litter before I have to replace it. If you do the math with the extended littler life and take into account the improved smell, it's definitely worth the extra money!

Nice and sturdy. Holds a lot--a little deeper than most cat litter scoops. Better than the normal ones you more commonly see. The plastic is more rigid and not as flimsy such that you get the litter all over when the clump finally gives way (weigh?) I use this with clumping litter. The slats are a little bigger--not sure I like that as much, but it's ok. The handle is a cool contoured shape and fits nicely in your hand. Hole at the end so you can hang it. It's much better than the normal one I had.

This is a news scoop. 'It works perfectly adequately for it's intended purpose'. The 'news scoop' heading was just me, trying to bring a bit of humour to, let's face it, a dull item, that is hard to inject delight & enthusiasm to! For, stuck to the bottom of the tray, litter, I would suggest turning the scoop over & scraping, as it takes the pressure better that way.
