Excellent speed control...... Installation was very straightforward. Highly recommend using solder connections along with heat shrink for installation. Drive test was excellent with no problems....

I had this product professionally installed on my 2012 Ford Focus S by a ford dealer in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Installation was not expensive, maybe $200 or $300. However, the gas mileage I obtained from this cruise control was TERRIBLE. I obtained approximately 26 mpg for mostly highway driving. According to the fuel economy of the car, i should have obtained over 30 mpg, highway.Long story short, this may be your best option, but "Rostra" should do a better job of reaching projected fuel economy for the vehicles it designs its cruise control applications for.

Product was very easy to install, plug and play. Worked perfectly first time. This is the second Rostra cruise cruise kit I have purchased. Made both vehicles much more enjoyable to drive.

Bad instructions and no help on the website. I called for tech support and it just rang and rang. No answer. There’s a very short video on YouTube that was mostly helpful but it was for a different year car than mine so the wire connection colors aren’t the same - not helpful.

Works great. Fairly easy to install. Just find the video on YouTube.

If you drive a MANUAL Focus, do NOT wire to the passenger footwell!! It will not work. Follow the instructions for the Transit wiring. Get the steering wheel cover popped off and unclip that wire connector, and tap into the Brown/Yellow wire. Make sure it’s the right brown yellow-it’s in the clip that is almost out of reach. There is another one that’s more Lavender/Yellow that looks close enough, however that is not correct.Once wired properly, product works great, installation is fairly easy if you’ve done work to a car radio or something similar.

I purchased this cruise control for my 2014 Ford Focus with a manual transmission.Installation was fairly easy. I was able to install the entire kit without soldering directly to any wires on my vehicle. The instructions want you to clip and solder the power cord to the main power line to your fuse panel. I think this is ridiculous, especially because the cruise control does not need a lot of power. I purchased a Mini Fuse Circuit Tap for under $10 and was able to tap directly into the fuse box without having to splice any wires on the vehicle.(Note: I had a stupid user error installing that was my fault. I called Rostra Customer Service and was told to go online and file for a Service ID number. I followed all steps and never heard from Rostra again. Their customer service is terrible.)After I installed the cruise control I did a few tests. I noticed that when I hit the "SET" button, my car will speed up approximately 3 mph and then slowly settle down to the speed I set it to. This happens every time I SET the cruise control. Make sure you're watching this so you don't get pulled over.Once the car settles down to speed it maintains it fairly well. There is a bit of change from time to time, but not terrible. If I try to speed up (RESUME button) or slow down (SET button) the vehicle is a bit slow to respond or sometimes won't respond at all. Sometimes the car speeds up and then settles down (just like when I set the speed initially) when you're trying to change speeds, so its a bit difficult to get the exact speed you want.Lastly the power button sticks sometimes. I've never had the brake cut off fail, but I've had the power button on the side of the control panel fail multiple times. I can push the button multiple times to turn off the cruise and it won't respond. The power light will stay on and my vehicle will continue to stay cruising. Again, the brake cut off has always worked so I've never been in any danger. It's just a bit frustrating. With everything said, I do recommend this if you don't have cruise control on your vehicle. The kit works, it just isn't as good as the kits that come with the vehicle.

I found the directions for the Transit Connect hookup for 12V power worked for the Focus, and the location given for the Focus did not provide 12V. Other than that the install went very well, and I am very happy with the cruse control. I also mounted the control on the side of the center console because I drive a stick and my right hand is the one I use to shift and control other things.
