When the shock is working hard and gets hot, the foam-cell insert compresses to compensate for oil expansion which maintains consistent MAX Performance throughout the operating temperature range of the shock. The foam-cell design also eliminates air inside the shock which allows for mounting in any direction. Arc-welded end mounts and select specific valving give this shock absorber MAX value. Skyjacker steering stabilizers are dampening shocks for your steering system. They dampen out the harshness of the highway, the ‘shimmy’ from running the additional weight of larger tires and wheels and place control back into the driver’s hands. Stabilizers also reduce the fatigue of the driver on a personal level by reducing the amount of physical strength it takes to guide those larger tires on and off the road. Changing out the weaker stock unit for a better performing replacement is an inexpensive but worthy investment.
